JBL Subwoofers: An Introduction Part 2

JBL Subwoofers: An Introduction Part 2

The power handling of a subwoofer refers to the amount of power the subwoofer will be able to endure before it fails after a specified time. Peak power handling however has very little meaning. The most important is the speakers continuous or RMS power handling rating.
Subwoofers can really boost the bass produced by the car audio system and add a heavy intensity as well. This heavy bass produced by the subwoofer is mainly because of the limited amount of space in the interior of the car. The subwoofers are installed in the trunk or back seat of the car.

Rarely or never would you find a subwoofer located in panels or in the front of a car. Most car owners usually compete with music systems and majority of times subwoofers are found to do the trick to produce the hardcore bass.

Most times, the subwoofers are placed some distance away from the rest of the speakers to augment them, mainly preventing the smaller speakers from handling lower frequencies at a high volume. It is always important that you consider the amount of space you would like to donate to the sub woofers. In this way you will be better able to determine the best system for your car especially when implementing ported subwoofers with custom installation.

With the addition of these speakers to your car, you can turn it into a real power house. It is truly a remarkable listening experience with all the bass that you can possibly handle. The sound is really electrifying and thunderous when all the equipment has been properly installed and receiving adequate power.
